苗栗大埔張藥房主人張森文過世一年，民進黨主席蔡英文在臉書上說，政治的本質是照顧人民，不是欺騙，更不是卸責。張森文逝世一年了，她要求，政府應當歸還土地，把家園還給張家人，還給他們一個圓滿的家。

蔡英文說，一年前，竹南大埔張森文去世後，她前往張藥房探視遺孀彭秀春女士，當時，彭的面容憔悴、消瘦，蔡英文告訴彭，「要堅強！在達到目標之前，我們一定要比任何人都還要堅強。」

蔡英文表示，過了一個年頭，法院已一審判決政府的徵收程序違法，但是，從中央到地方執政的國民黨政府，依然推諉，不願承認錯誤，更不願將土地返還張家。彭秀春日前發表了一篇公開信，信中期望，政府能將原本就屬於他們的土地，歸還給他們，讓「六坪」大的房子能蓋回來。政府應把土地、家園還給張家人。
