廢木•出路

上月由環保團體發起的桃花木枝回收活動剛點算完畢，為期短短兩個周末，已破紀錄收到 100噸桃花木，比往年多出 1倍。擺桃花的家庭未必多咗，
但就體現出市民對木材回收意識的提高。
現時每日送到堆填區的廢木超過 300噸，佔固體廢物總量約 5%。
當中九成九是貨運裝卸用完即棄的木卡板，以及建築產生的廢木。家居丟置廢木量雖然不多，但在堆填區快要滿瀉的事實前，對於廢木問題，市民再難置若罔聞。
