《中英聯合聲明》在一九八四年十二月十九日簽訂，那個年頭，香港有着這片風景：「港島白領晨早趕到巴士站，梗係，中巴永遠有遲無早，而地鐵望穿秋水都未起好，好彩人人都無打尖。
大熱天時身水身汗著住條喇叭褲返到中環，嘩！立法局對面個地盤，起緊全新滙豐總行，由鼎鼎大名英國建築師 Norman Foster設計，今次唔係起大牌檔啦。
