2013年度風雲單字是哪個字?

《CNBC》周二 (19日) 報導指出，牛津大學英語詞典今 (2013) 年的風雲單字正式出爐，伴隨著社交媒體網站拍照上傳等風氣盛行，「自拍」(Selfie) 一詞堂堂入選，成為今年最為熱門的字彙。

牛津詞典編輯研究顯示，「Selfie」一詞的使用頻率，過去 1 年內竟激增 170 倍。

牛津詞典總編輯 Judy Pearsall 發表聲明稱：「牛津詞典語言研究計畫中，每個月收集約 1.5 億個常用英文字彙，而今年可見自拍一詞使用率急遽上升，讓我們決定選擇作為年度單字。」

「自拍」是諸多時下時髦字彙其中一個，今年另一流行詞是「電臀舞」(twerk)，源於 8 月期間知名歌手 Miley Cyrus 在 MTV 音樂大獎上的火辣熱舞。

電臀舞、虛擬貨幣比特幣 (Bitcoin) 和意謂短時間連續觀賞大量節目的「煲劇」(binge-watch) 等字，同列牛津詞典曾考慮列為今年風雲單字的候選清單。

根據牛津詞典指出，「自拍」一詞已經流傳幾年時間，但直到這一年期間才出現大量使用風潮。
