引擎縮缸建議是否要修？

車子是SYM的高手125，車齡約莫10年，故障原因是引擎縮缸現況沒辦法發動，
長輩將機車牽到機車行，第1家是路邊的很小間，門面不是很乾淨。
初步看完告知是引擎縮缸，維修要2萬元以上，長輩聽到就不想修，
建議報廢將車子給店家，大牌還長輩，要長輩自己去報廢，被我勸說下把報廢這件事情緩下來。
第2家也是長輩自己堅持去，店家很微妙感覺不怎麼在專營機車維修，
然後看完直說引擎縮缸，不建議修，直說這車送人，人家也不要，報廢比較快。
引擎縮缸原因是因為沒有加機油，由第2家車行告知。

我問長輩為什麼要堅持去小間的機車行，長輩說感覺他們不會騙我。
現在狀況處於報廢大於維修，我要堅持在將機車主動牽去給其他車行看嗎？
還是乾脆將任長輩交由機車行報廢殺肉取零件，整台送店家？

請求見解。
