獎勵長照研發 造福更多家庭

半年前，筆者參加一家照顧失能者的機構啟用，負責人告訴我，如果這個場地能有一台洗澡機就更好。

他說，失能者的洗澡對家屬而言，是十分困擾的事。因為要為失能者翻身，相當的困難，所以多數以擦拭代替沖洗。

如果日托型機構能有這麼一套設備的話，讓失能長輩回家前，就洗得乾乾淨淨，對家屬而言，才是最完全的照顧。

我問他，台灣沒有這類產品嗎？他說，僅有一、二家長照機構及護理之家從日本進口，但費用十分可觀。

行政院曾核定「十年長期照顧計畫」，從居家服務到長照機構，都有一些照顧措施，唯美中不足的是，對長照產業研究與發展，沒有具體的獎勵措施。目前除有國產的輪椅及樓梯升降機外，很多產品都是由國外進口。

長照產業在高齡化社會，應有極大的潛在市場，政府不妨委由工研院成立長照產業研發中心，筆者深信將有利於今後長照事業發展。
