紐約新竹火車站同齡 入口意象差很大

「平平是百年老站，怎麼差這麼多? 」新竹火車站與美國紐約中央車站同樣建於1913年，新竹市今年8月還赴美，與紐約中央車站締結姐妹站，不過，景觀與氣象卻差很大，新竹市議員林智堅說，「不要嚇壞旅客」。

新竹市文化古城，也是科技城，可是，火車站門面卻不及格，出了車站第一印象，就是滿滿的機、汽車與腳踏車，雜亂不堪；林智堅今天下午與交通處、鐵路局人員會勘，要找對策。

包括台鐵新竹站長黃榮華、交通處副處長曾群明、大眾運輸科長林正光等人都到場，決議短期先維持現況，但加強自行車停車秩序管理，半年後將自行車區移到計程車區外空地；明年6月，客運轉運站完成後，車輛動線全面規劃，徹底解決。
