非本科想轉室內設計裝璜的領域

詢問各位前輩剛起步要如何在台灣找室內設計或裝璜的工作?

因為本人有幸可以到東京室內設計公司當實習助理,
由於公司主要注重在小坪數跟商業店面設計,
讓我開了眼界喜愛上室內設計跟裝璜這塊領域,
但我本身學平面的在這邊都是做一些cad修改.配色
或店面招牌壓克力切割的工作,常常在現場看,但不能
下去學到裝璜的東西.........
日本的設計師說,如果要紮實的成為設計師的話,
最好下去學裝璜木工

所以想請問各位前輩在台灣如何開始這一行?
有想過在職訓局學基本工,然後再當學徒以免礙手礙腳,
在加上有長輩要奉養,薪水不能低太久.....
請益各位前輩這條路怎麼走,才能成為獨當一面的設計師或
接案師傅?
