立法院長王金平涉入關說，引發國民黨風暴。國民黨榮譽主席連戰認為不應用不當方式羞辱王金平，「馬主席作法有欠周延」。總統府副秘書長羅智強上午回應，馬總統在大是大非問題前，選擇對國家歷史負責的態度，他不能、也無法坐視司法公信，被國會議長關說摧毀。羅智強說，馬總統無意不尊重或屈辱王金平，而是在王金平打電話給柯建銘、曾勇夫、陳守煌的那一刻，司法就陷入了屈辱；不是馬總統不給王金平基本尊重，是王金平沒有給司法基本尊重。
