上期《商業周刊》關於連勝文的封面故事「連勝文憑什麼？」刊登之後，最有趣的讀者回應是「你怎麼知道那條牛仔褲？」

連勝文在2月24日參選記者會上的打扮，合身剪裁的黑西裝、不打領帶不扣第一顆鈕扣的白襯衫、牛仔褲，基本上可歸類為「smart casual」，還有網評讚賞他穿得「不顯貴氣」。

西裝和襯衫貴不貴，一時難辨，倒是他跨步上台時，褲子兩個後口袋上頭，大大的「ʊ」標誌，「明星氣」不小心鑽入我的眼睛中。

於是打開電腦拜請谷歌大神開釋，以確認品牌。乖乖！原來那是足球金童貝克漢、台灣之光王建民、歌星小賈斯汀、瑪丹娜、影星烏瑪舒曼、喬治克隆尼…都穿過的牛仔褲潮牌True Religion。它是2002年Jeffrey及Kym Lubell兩夫婦在洛杉磯成立，以手工精細的縫邊、繡花和獨特剪裁受到歡迎。價格約從台幣8千元到1萬5千元不等，比連勝文朋友合送的那支「只有4萬元」的紅酒還便宜呢！
