美國「聯邦鐵路管理局」（Federal Railroad Administration）今天發布緊急命令，要求營運紐約通勤列車的大都會北方鐵路公司落實若干緊急安全措施。

路透社報導，臨時緊急安全措施包括確定列車行駛時不超過30英里速限、修改現行的控制系統、及連結列車駕駛室和車廂的自動警報系統等。

大都會北方鐵路公司（Metro North）營運的通勤列車1日出軌，造成4人喪生、70人受傷。出事時，列車行駛速度將近速限的3倍。
