西方國家可能對敘利亞採取軍事制裁，中東北非動亂加劇，市場擔憂其他原油產區受影響，布蘭特油價觸及6個月新高，站上每桶116美元，西德州油價也來到每桶110美元，讓資源基金績賺到「戰爭財」：36檔基金近一周平均上漲1％，下半年來漲幅高達8％。

油價確實會隨地緣政治風險而波動，但投資專家指出，依目前大環境與過去地緣政治風險的經驗來看，油價應只是短期走升，在地緣政治風險降溫後可能出現漲多回檔。
