洪仲丘家人質疑軍檢的死亡檢驗報告書的死亡點地怎麼是在「自宅」？法務部法醫研究所病理組長、法醫蕭開平說，遺體檢驗報告書記載的死亡地點是「最終死亡地點」，不是案發地點，軍檢寫法沒有錯。

蕭開平表示，依據洪家的說法，洪仲丘在三總急救無效，留一口氣回家拔管才斷氣，因此死亡地點寫「自宅」沒有錯，這是司法和軍法檢驗遺體的實務作法。
