總統兼國民黨主席馬英九今天參加國民黨小組長團結會，在上千名基層小組長掌聲中，授旗給年底參選的縣長黃健庭、議長饒慶鈴等人，預祝他們都能高票當選。馬英九說，台東近年的發展超乎預期，和全台觀光人數都大幅上升，過去要10多年才能增加的觀光人數，如今1年就達成，間接增加許多就業機會。他也強調政府對台東的建設非常支持，過去民進黨執政每年平均給台東81億建設經費，但他上任後增加到115億，增加了32%。
