針對消防有關團體詬病的消防人力不足問題，內政部次長邱昌嶽2日晚指出，內政部已擬妥消防人力擴大容訓量的方案，預定自103年起至106年，4年內擴大招生訓練，至106年可增加2千925個消防人員。

丘昌嶽表示，依消防人力預算員額有1萬4800多人，但目前消防人員僅有1萬3千多人，少了至少1千多人。內政部將於近期內前往各地方政府，就業務與人力、設備等進行評鑑，再決定增添多少人力與設備。

有關消防人員設備的短缺，內政部也將與地方首長商量，依地方財力，就基本、進階、高端設備，進行補實。
