遼寧省今年7月以來降水量比常年偏少逾五成，遭遇自1961年來最嚴重的夏旱。

中新社報導，今年入夏以來，遼寧省持續高溫少雨，多地旱情不斷加劇。官方統計顯示，截至目前，遼寧省農作物受旱面積已達2429萬畝，其中輕旱1384萬畝，重旱783萬畝，乾枯262萬畝。此外，有20.71萬人、5.81萬頭大牲畜出現臨時飲水困難。

遼寧省大部分地區的旱情仍有不同程度的加重趨勢，遼寧省防汛抗旱指揮部已將全省抗旱應急回應由四級提升為三級。
