台南應用科大8月1日舉行校長交接，新任校長林品章日本國立千葉大學工學院博士，曾任中原大學商業設計系主任、設計學院院長兼文化資產所所長、台灣科技大學工商設計系主任兼所長、銘傳大學設計學院院長。並曾擔任中華民國設計學會常務理事、中華民國基礎造形學會理事長、亞洲基礎造形學會聯合會議執行委員、ANBD(亞洲超越設計聯盟)發起人兼台灣地區執行委員，學經歷豐富。
