奈及利亞船難 42死100失蹤

尼日州救難機構今天告訴法新社，超載乘客和貨物的一艘渡船，昨天傍晚在奈及利亞中部的尼日河（Niger River）翻覆，造成42人死亡，另有100人失蹤。

尼日州緊急事務處理廳廳長夏巴（Mohammed Shaba）表示，估計搭載約150人的這艘渡船，從尼日州（Niger）馬利利村（Malilli）啟航後，斷裂成兩半。

夏巴說：「截至目前，有42人罹難，另有100人失蹤。」夏巴指出，這是尼日州境內近年來最嚴重意外事故。

救難團隊已抵達現場，搜尋其他罹難者屍體。根據夏巴的說法，當時這艘船載運太多商人以及在馬利利村採購的貨物。

雖然這起船難被歸咎於超載，但夏巴也表示，繼該地區豪雨季節後，也可能肇因於尼日河水勢湍急。
